The association
What is ODERSA?
A French nonprofit association (loi 1901), declared in Paris on 13 May 2026, that makes education accessible to everyone: free, open online resources, and occasional activities on the ground. It is run entirely by volunteers.
What does ODERSA stand for?
Organisation pour le Développement de l’Éducation, des Ressources et des Savoirs Accessibles. It is French for “Organization for the Development of Accessible Education, Resources, and Knowledge”.
Who runs the association?
The president is Mael Garbe, a volunteer. The association has no employees: all the work is done by volunteers.
How are you funded?
Through ODERSA’s own resources and the volunteer commitment of its members. ODERSA’s supporters are named publicly on the “Our supporters” page.
Are you attached to another organization?
No. The association is independent: it depends on no other body and represents none.
Our resources
Is it really free?
Yes, entirely: no payment, no “premium” tier, no ads, no account to create. Free access is written into the association’s bylaws.
Can I reuse your content in class or in a workshop?
Yes, that is the whole point. Everything is published under a CC BY 4.0 license: you can copy, adapt, translate, and share it, including in a modified version. The only condition is to credit the source.
How do I actually use this with a group?
Three formats work well: a projected show of hands, independent practice on a phone or in a computer room, and a paper workshop with the printed booklet. The “For teachers and activity leaders” page walks through each one step by step, equipment included.
Are your sites accessible?
They are built to the WCAG AA standard: contrasts calculated at every publication, keyboard navigation, audio reading, a settings panel on every page. The Accessibility page details what is in place, how to test it, and what we know about its limits.
What languages do you work in?
This site is available in French and English. Our first project, Avant d’y croire, is online in 7 languages: French, English, Spanish, Arabic, Hindi, Bengali, and Mandarin.
Do I need an account to use your sites?
No, never. None of our sites offers or asks for an account.
Your data
Do you use cookies?
No. No cookies, no trackers, no third-party analytics. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
What happens to my email address if I write to you?
It is used to reply to you, that is all. It enters no database, feeds no newsletter, and is never passed on to anyone.
How can I check that nothing is really collected?
Open your browser’s inspector (the F12 key, Network tab) and reload the page: you will see that no request leaves for another domain. The Privacy page walks through it.
Working with us
How do I propose a partnership?
An email is enough: tell us who you are and what you have in mind. We reply quickly, and the Work with us page describes what we bring and what we are looking for.
Do you run activities in schools?
Yes: workshops built with the host organization, which sets the frame for its own audience. Online or on the ground, the resource stays free.
How can I support the association?
Write to us to set up support the right way: funding a specific activity, hosting a workshop, or helping spread the word. This site does not collect donations online.
