This is an official ODERSA website. Here’s how you know

The official domain

The address of this site ends in odersa.org. Every service the association runs sits on a subdomain of odersa.org and nowhere else. If the address in your browser’s address bar does not end in odersa.org, this site is not ours.

Free, and no account

Everything is open straight away. No sign-up, no account, no password, no subscription, no advertising. Nothing is held back for those who pay, because there is nothing to pay for.

No data collected

This site does not follow you: no tracker, no tracking cookie, no measurement tool built into these pages, and nothing measured on your device. Our host counts requests in aggregate, as any server that answers does: a total, never a profile. You do not have to take our word for it: open your browser’s developer tools, go to the Network tab, and reload the page. You will see the full list of what the site asks for. Everything comes from odersa.org, nothing goes anywhere else.

Free to reuse

The content is published under the CC BY 4.0 licence. You may copy it, translate it, print it and pass it on, for your classes as much as for the people around you, on one condition only: credit ODERSA.

What’s new

The association’s log

The milestones that matter, dated and unvarnished. You can also follow this feed by RSS, with no account and no sign-up.

  1. ODERSA sets up a research division

The association now carries out research work alongside its programmes and its actions. That work is run by a dedicated division, ODERSA Research, on verifiable, massively multilingual natural language generation, in the service of free education. Its pages, its measurements and its limits are published at research.odersa.org.

  2. ODERSA Translate

Translate in the browser, with the text never leaving the device: a local engine, a dictionary of credited human sentences, an open API.

  3. Letters That Work

Write the letter that gets a result: the right recipient, dated facts, a clear request, a deadline, proof, and no name given to anyone.

  4. The AI Manual

Understand how a language model works, what it can do, what it makes up, and when not to use it.

  5. Plain Money

Understand money before signing: a budget, a loan, a contract, a promise of returns, and the traps that come with them.

  6. The Sky in Every Language

Recognise tonight’s sky from anywhere on Earth, and read the names the world’s cultures give to the same stars.

  7. Words Within Reach

Build a sentence from pictograms and have it spoken aloud, on screen or on paper, when words will not come.

  8. A page for the status of our sites

The status of our sites is published at odersa.org/en/status. The page does not repeat a dashboard: it asks each of our sites directly from your browser, the second you arrive, and it shows the time of the check. Nothing is recorded, and no address other than our own is contacted.

  9. The programmes change their names

The association’s 7 programmes now carry names that need no explanation, and the site opens on what it teaches rather than on what it publishes. Each programme keeps its own page. The old addresses redirect to the new ones: a link shared before the change still works.

  10. The Library

Read, print and reuse complete teaching textbooks: free, no account, openly licensed.

  11. The Workbench

Convert, shrink and clean up your files in the browser: the work happens on your device, and nothing leaves it.

  12. By Right

Discover the rights European law already gives you, the same across the Union: you decide, your decision plays out, then the official text settles it.

  13. A page for the technical proof

Our response times are now published: 78 measurements taken by public probes from 14 cities on 6 continents, set against the public benchmarks of the web, with the raw record to download and the method to run it all again. The same day, a layout stability fault on phone rendering was fixed across the whole site.

  14. Avant les secours

Practice first aid on playable emergency scenes: you decide, your decision plays out, then the official guidance explains why.

  15. Clic par clic

Carry out the digital tasks of everyday life on simulated screens, where getting it wrong costs nothing.

  16. odersa.org opens its doors

The association’s institutional site is online: who we are, our approach, our verifiable figures, and how to work with us. In French and English.

  17. Avant d’y croire

Check a piece of information before believing or sharing it, on training cases that are realistic and entirely fictional.

  18. Published in the Journal officiel

The creation of the association is published in the Journal officiel des associations (JOAFE), announcement no. 1176.

  19. The association is declared

ODERSA is declared at the Préfecture de Police de Paris. RNA number: W751284255.
