A site built to be read by everyone
This site’s accessibility does not rest on good intentions: it is built in, checked at every publication, and something you can verify yourself. This page states what is in place, how to test it, and what we know about its limits.

- Contrast
- Every color pair in the style guide is calculated individually against the WCAG AA standard, at every publication. The check is blocking: if a single pair fails, the site does not get published.
- Keyboard
- The whole site can be navigated by keyboard: a skip link at the top of the page, focus always visible, menus usable by tabbing through, panels and windows that close with Escape.
- Readability
- Text at 16 pixels minimum, limited line length, a strict heading hierarchy, and settings to enlarge the text (A+, A++) or increase the spacing.
- Audio
- Every page can be read aloud by your browser’s speech synthesis, from the Settings panel. No external service: the voice is the one already on your device.
- Images
- Every image carries a text alternative.
- Motion
- No decorative animation. Your system’s “reduce motion” preference is respected, and a setting in the panel lets you force it.
- No JavaScript required
- All the content stays readable without JavaScript: navigation unfolds, questions expand.
Settings within reach, on every page
The “Settings” button, on the edge of every page, opens a panel: light or dark theme, text size, increased spacing, high contrast, reduced animations, a stripped-down reading mode, underlined links, audio reading. Your choices are saved in your browser, on your device, and nowhere else: one button clears them all.
Test it yourself, in two minutes
- Press Tab from the top of a page: the first link is “Skip to content”, and the focus stays visible at every step.
- Open the Settings panel: switch the text to A++, turn on high contrast, then reading mode.
- Start audio reading from the panel: the page reads itself aloud.
- Zoom to 200% in your browser: the layout adjusts, nothing overlaps.
The limits we know about
- Audio reading uses the voices installed on your device: their quality and the languages available vary from one browser to another.
- Captions placed over photos rely on a dark overlay calculated for the worst case; the actual rendering can vary by screen, and the same information stays available in the text of the pages.
- This statement rests on our own internal checks, described above. Every outside report is one more check on our work: it gets reviewed, and the correction gets published.
